Directly following the events of The Last Chronomancer, comes The Midnight Strider. Artemis feels like he's lost more than he's gained, even with chronomancer abilities now running through his veins. He continues to keep his father at an arm length away, and can't seem to find it in him to trust those who remain. The darkness that once tempted him at such a young age, is once more finding its way into his life. Will he give in to the temptation, or will he manage to find the courage to resist as the old curse says upon his family?
